Through a bid whose terms included ethical requirements, the Public Criminal Defender’s Office (DPP, Defensoría Penal Pública) contracted an external audit service based on data to analyze favorable outputs through a predictive model.

The bid was awarded through Mercado Público (Public Market) to the Complex Engineering Systems Institute (ISCI, Instituto de Sistemas Complejos de Ingeniería).

At the end of the pilot, the UAI team performed an ethical assessment of the developed model aimed at generating recommendations for future systems.
