Algorithmic Transparency (2020)
The paper presented below contains the results of the “Transparency and Algorithmic Responsibility for Artificial Intelligence” workshop organized by the School of Communications and Journalism and GobLab UAI, both from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and the Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation. The workshop was developed around three questions on how to face the ethical challenges of AI, which is to be contributed to the National Policy:
- How transparent should the artificial intelligence systems used by the private sector and the government be?
- What should be the scope of Algorithmic Responsibility and what mechanisms can be used?
- Should there be a Government Ethics Committee that reviews artificial intelligence projects?
